First time trying this place on a recommendation. The food we ordered was actually very good. I just don't understand the prices for the dumplings. Steamed and fried are about a dollar cheaper the the pan fried. Kinda doesn't make sense. Great combination platters. Not much of a place for dine in, although there is a table. They do excellent take out service. I'm sure I'll order from this place again.
I drive a lot for work and was in the mood for Chinese. I make the trip through shamokin once a month. Decided to stop and will be stopping every month for the foreseeable future. Lo mein not too greasy, chicken crispy, rice perfectly seasoned and cooked. Fantastic.
Sometimes when a mistake happens, but it's delicious, is it really a mistake? Ming Guan is located in downtown Shamokin with metered parking on the street. My friend and I ordered two combination platters from here, but that evening they were slammed, and it was a 35-minute wait. Interior has some tables, but it appears they mostly do pick-up. After pickup, I discovered they gave me the wrong main item. Originally, I ordered the Chicken with Mixed Vegetables and instead got Shrimp with Mixed Vegetables. It was delicious. The sauce they use with the main item is really good and the shrimp were large. I'm somewhat picky with my Fried Rice, but that was also good, along with the Egg Roll. Even with getting the wrong item, I would 100% return here to eat again.
